:: News :: April 2013 ::

Sorry it's been a little quiet here at DCP Towers recently, illness and life has definately demanded some attention up until now. Something I need to address in the very near future.

Upcoming jobs include a commercial shoot, a wedding, and another commercial shoot that requires some nice weather !

A just for fun shoot in the Summer is planned too with a fantasy theme in a Forest ! Watch out for a new Behind The Scenes video from it :).

Sadly, this year due to health reasons, I am scaling down my Events Photography, with only a couple events planned. Keep an eye on the events page if you would like to come along.

I have invested in a second camera (a Canon 60D) to back up my Canon 5D, and also because it uses an SD card, which enables me to use an Eye Fi wifi card to send photos to my iPad as I take them, meaning that my customers can see their photos at Events on a larger screen. Obviously this will be very useful to me at any type of shoot too.

Well, thats about it for now, I will be adding new photos and pages to the website soon, so please come back and look, when you have 5 minutes :).

This is my Nephew, helping me try my new backup camera out ! :)

To Mr and Mrs Moat, Tony and Mandy, on their marriage a few weeks ago.

I was lucky enough to be asked along as a guest, but couldn't resist taking a few photos, as you do ;).

You may recognise a well known TV personality in there, what a nice couple too !

All the best for your new future together Mr and Mrs Moat, you make a great couple ! :) x
Sunday 16th June saw the Home Counties Boxer Welfare Fun Day in St Albans which I attended with my portable studio.
It was a very successful day for the charity with a little over £1500 received by the end.
Below are a few photos that were taken on the day with 25% of the fee going straight to that £1500 total.
Well done to all that attended, thank you for your support, and for having your photos taken by me :).
I recently bought a new lens, the very sharp and capable Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM. It is so much fun to use, nice and light when attached, and doubles as an incredibly sharp prime portrait lens. Its been living on my camera since I got it, here are a couple of photos I managed to capture. These are taken handheld using a flash in the hotshoe with the Ringflash attachment. Hoping to play a lot more soon :).
